After decades of anticipation, speculation, and discussion the Toyota GR Supra was revealed in 2019 as a 2020 model.

One of the biggest questions enthusiasts were asking themselves and each other when the GR Supra was revealed was how the aftermarket would tackle it?

Due to new trends in styling and design, it is getting increasingly difficult for aftermarket companies to produce parts for the latest sports cars.

Generally speaking, when a new enthusiast targeted car is released, aesthetic mods are typically the first to come to market. This is usually because producing a body kit or other more subtle aero pieces is much easier to do when compared to trying to combat a new car’s ecu to trick it into accepting performance modifications. In this article we’re going to put a spotlight on some of our favorite body kits that have been produced for the Toyota GR Supra in the year and a half since its release. Be warned, we’re going to include prices along with our picks and these numbers are definitely hefty. Anyone looking to pick up a kit from this list will definitely need to secure several bags. That being said, let’s get started!

Streethunter widebody kit ($7,000)

The Streethunter widebody kit was the result of a collaboration between Street Fighter body kits, automotive influencer/YouTube personality TJ Hunt and automotive designer/illustrator Jon Sibal. The Streethunter kit was one of the first widebody kits to come to market for the Toyota GR Supra. It’s rapid release was due in part to the fact that the prototype for this kit was actually 3D printed rather than the traditional route of sculpting from clay.

LB*Works widebody kit ($14,850-$15,950)

Liberty Walk will put a widebody on just about anything, so it’s no surprise that they set their sights on the Toyota GR Supra. The LB*Works kit certainly features Liberty Walk’s signature style but it isn’t cheap or easy to obtain for most Supra owners. This kit starts at over $14k USD and is only produced in Japan so even after putting all that cash down, a long wait is ahead for any buyers.

HKS Premium widebody kit ($7,000 without GT Wing, $10,000 with wing)

This one is special. Legendary Japanese tuner HKS doesn’t make aero parts very often; so the fact that they produced a full widebody kit for the Toyota GR Supra is certainly of note here. It should also be noted that the kit is relatively rare as only a few dealers in the USA are authorized to sell it. HKS utilized computer fluid dynamics while designing this kit to ensure aerodynamic effectiveness.

Varis Supreme widebody kit ($13,995)

The Varis Supreme widebody kit for the Toyota GR Supra is the second most expensive kit on this list. However, it is also one of the most elaborate. The front fenders alone on this kit consist of 6 different pieces. The end result is eye candy at its finest and likely has plenty of aerodynamic functionality to go with it. This is a great pick for those who’s wallets are up to the task.

Pandem widebody kit ($8,200 with wing, $6,150 without wing)

Like Liberty Walk, Pandem is a Japanese mainstay when it comes to producing widebody kits. A spin off of Kei Miura’s “Rocket Bunny” brand, Pandem kits tend to find their way on the higher dollar sports cars. The Pandem widebody kit for the Toyota GR Supra really harmonizes with the car’s stock lines which gives it a look of motorsport-driven purpose. These kits are a bit more common which is a downside for those looking to set themselves apart.

Artisan Spirits Black Label body kit ($2,200-$7,100 USD depending on materials)

This is the only kit featured here that isn’t widebody. The Artisan Spirits Black Label body kit for the Toyota GR Supra is much more subtle and could even pass for something that Toyota would offer themselves as an OEM option. Its versatility with the amount of pieces offered and the material those pieces are made from offer a lot of choice for buyers when it comes to styling and pricing.

It seems that the conclusion when it comes to exterior styling for the Toyota GR Supra is that currently it’s all about going big or going home. There are a decent amount of high-dollar widebody kits available but for anyone who doesn’t quite want to go that far or doesn’t have the cash for it, choices are very limited. We think by now, there should be more variety but, we’re huge fans of what’s available now. Hopefully, in the next year even more options will be available beyond the pricey kits we’ve highlighted here. If so, we may just revisit this list again in the future!
