Yasuyuki Kazama has been collecting and tuning Nissan Silvia cars for more than a decade, with some of his cars dating all the way back to his D1 driving years 15 years ago.

Legend has it that Yasuyuki Kazama customized his Nissan Silvia S13 Convertible to drive it "rodeo style", wherein he would ride on the door doing donuts. Kazama also explains how he purchased an S15 to swap out some of the parts in his S13.

Originally built to be his practice car for D1, Yasuyuki Kazama had upgraded this Nissan Silvia S15 to put out about 500HP, with increased displacement and big turbo.

After Yasuyuki Kazama's first Nissan Silvia S14 was stolen, he purchased this S14 from the Good Line shop in Sagami some years later. Kazama was drawn to the aeroparts that had already been built for this S14, and the added sunroof sealed the deal for him. Kazama was known to showcase this model at various Bridgestone demos and touge driving events.

While it may look similar to his other Nissan Silvia S15, Kazama had built this particular S15 with original Rodextyle aero parts. Because it was registered for street use, Kazama took this S15 out for his media appearances and track day events.

After being labeled as a driver who only knew how to drift, Yasuyuki Kazama refused to be boxed in and made it his goal to not only build cars that performed well drifting, but were also fast on the track.

Yasuyuki Kazama's ex-daily driver, a red Nissan Silvia S15, received an overhaul treatment over time while still maintaining its stock turbos. According to Kazama, it's pretty much a basic spec car with the addition of increased boost on the stock turbines. This S15 is a testament to Kazama's philosophy in keeping a car clean while being able to increase its performance.
