This was the first time Formula Drift did this competition and I’m glad I got to be a part of it.  It was fun to be drifting in my Formula Drift BRZ at Irwindale Speedway again, and to be able to hang out with all the other FD drivers.  There was still a competitive edge to the event, so it was pretty exciting. This was a great way to lead into the first round of Formula Drift this year.

The Irwindale Speedway & Event Center (a.k.a. Irwindale Speedway, Irwindale Dragstrip, or "The House of Drift") is a motorsports facility located in Southern California. It opened on March 27, 1999 under the official name Irwindale Speedway. Toyota purchased the naming rights to the facility in 2008, and from that time until 2011 it was also known as the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.
