GTChannel takes a two day course at the Team O'Neil Rally School in New Hamphsire. We give a glimpse into what is to be expected and an overview of what happens in the duration of a training course.
We mostly learned how to drive front wheel drive cars using left foot braking to steer and control the car. 

On a snowy road, brake, steer and accelerate as smoothly as possible. Try avoiding stepping on the brake real hard.  Stopping distances are up to ten times greater in snow and ice. Leave even more space behind the car in front than you usually would on the street.

What is Team O'Neil Rally School?

During a 2 day course of snow driving at Team O'Neil Rally school we learned to steer with left foot braking in a front wheel drive car.   Team O'Neil principles are 1.Stay on the road, 2. Don't break the car, 3. Know your equipment, 4.Know the limits of your car and the road's limits, 5. Drive without emotion. 
We started out just going around circles on a skidpad using left foot braking. 
Then we moved to slalom and focused on maintaining the power while braking to turn the car and look ahead for your best line and apex.

On day 2 at Team O'Neil Rally school we learned to steer with the throttle, brake anticipation, compensation and timing through various drills in the snow like the pendulum turn, also known as the scandinavian flick. Later in the day we moved to all wheel drive vehicles.
